Food Print Manhattan

Great video by Why Factory Studio students at Tu Delft. Following CJ Lim’s concern with food miles and food security, this video puts in perspective just how much land area NY would need to sustain current consumption rates of the average person in the developed world. It shows a range of different scenarios including distributing food production into towers and also evenly distributing them on roof tops. In the end the question is: is it possible to sustain current habits of consumption or do we need to change what we eat and how much we eat?
