Rudabeh Pakravan Studio, Design Intern [June - July 2011]
Design intern for the summer at an architectural practice in Berkeley, California. Worked on a residential project in Timber Cove, California. Contributed to design development, drawings, renderings and physical model making.
Architecture for Humanity, Member [Aug 2009 – present]
Student member of Architecture for Humanity Auckland Chapter. Involvement includes attending lectures and volunteering at various events such as exhibitions.
OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
AA Visiting School Biodynamic Workshop [July 2011]
Participated in a two week long work shop held at CCA in San Francisco by the AA visiting school. Programs used include Rhino plug-ins such as kangaroo, grasshopper and firefly. Also became familiar with alternate model making techniques such as composite casting, CNC, and vacuum-forming.
Spain Study Tour + ETSAB Barcelona School of Architecture Workshop [April 2010]
Participated in a six week study tour of Spain including a design workshop at the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB). Worked with tutors from ETSAB to develop studio design projects.
Uni Guide at University of Auckland [Feb – July 2010]
Assisted a group of new incoming students in settling into college life. Responsibilities included setting up weekly appointments and organizing social activities.
